Great and Date

Saturday morning, EC got to spend some time with her great- PaPa. She really loved his pen!

 

 

Saturday night, Jeremy and I enjoyed a date night to celebrate his big day! 

All in all, a perfect Saturday.

Pumpkin Patch

Ok, not so much a patch as an impromptu trip to the grocery store, which happens to have a huge produce (pumpkin) department.

Too bad she is wearing a summery dress from last year, instead of courdory pants and a denim jacket.

Maybe we can make a second trip when it's below 90 degrees ...

Basket of Fun

We want to encourage Em to have times that she plays by herself, so while L was napping, Lauren let Emme have a little time by herself with the toys.  Lauren said she did surprisingly well.  When Lauren walked over to check on her, Em was in the laundry basket (that we use to store the toys) reading books to herself.  Just jibber jabbering away!

By the end of the weekend, these two were best buds.  G loved giving EC hugs.  Em still has some work to do on sharing, but overall, we had such a great weekend with special friends!

and the little miss heard some country music playing and performed an impromptu dance

the highlight was the zoo's new baby rhino- so cute!

2011 Heart Walk

Heart Walkers

Again, this year we headed out to the Stockyards for the Heart Walk.  A few of the Color Me Rad 5k runners and the gusty winds tried to slow us down, but we prevailed.

 

 

Ali had the first go round of stroller pushing.

 

These two were off to a good start- lots of people and dogs to watch.

Jeremy took a turn with the stroller.

A few issues sharing the snacks, but all was well (even though they look bored out of their minds).

The whole gang- have you ever seen 2 kids looking more bored?!?!  Honestly, I "think" they had a good time!  In their defense, it was extremely windy so I'm sure they were a little worn down after battling the wind for 3 miles.  And we were all covered in layer of grit.

A little happier playing with the booster seats at the restuarant.

The final pic is EC's attempt at photography.  I was carrying her and the camera and she hit the silver button and snapped a shot as we were getting to the table!  Such a fun day with friends!
