She's In Love

We had such a great weekend in Abilene.  The overall theme for the weekend- hor-sey.

Emme Clares loves the horses.  Loves them!

Aunt Bootie took her to see the horses.

She went for a ride with Big E.

A ride with Daddy.

A ride with Doc.

Everyone was in town to celebrate PaPa and Aunt Polly's birthday.  And we celebrated in typical Moore fashion- lots of good food!

Hor-sey

EC loves a horsey!  She is a girl after her Doc's own heart.  And .her Daddy, her Pop Pop, and her Aunt Ali!

Sleepless Nights

Sorry, no pic of the day.  We will call this a trouble shooting blog post. 

The #1 issue parents have with their children- SLEEP (eating veggies is a close second).  At night, she goes to sleep just fine- we put her down, she's asleep within 10 minutes with little to no crying.  BUT . . .

she wakes up every night around 11:00 or 12:00 and she cries and cries.  We rock her, changer her diaper, give her a drink, let her cry it out.  She's awake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours each night.  She will go to sleep for a few minutes and wake up screaming.  It is exhausting! 

When we finally get her back to sleep (usually 1am or so), she will sometimes sleep until it's time to get up in the mornings, but other times, she will cry off and on for the rest of the night.

I know what you're thinking:

• Teething?- could be, I mean she has a total of 2 bottom teeth and we can see half of her 2 top teeth and she's 15 months old.  Honestly, I hope she's teething.
• Gas?- maybe, she eats lots of cheese.
• Bad dreams?- possible, what do babies have nightmares about?  Milk shortage?
• Hungry?- doubtful, she packs it away at dinner time
• Comfort?- not as likely, she does want us to hold her (mostly me), but she still cries when we are holding her and it seems like she is still bothered or unhappy even while we are holding her

That pretty much sums it up.  Thoughts?  Ideas? Hints?  Any takers for the nighttime shift at the Walker Casa?

Lessons in Sharing

H spent the evening with us and we all got to work on our sharing skills.

They were great about sharing their water cups with each other on the wagon ride.

H shared his cookie with Emme, but then, wanted it back.  It was in EC's mouth/ tummy.

EC did not want to share her Elmo book or cell phone with H.  Everyone shared the stacking, colored rings.

Bath time with sharing toys and splashes and it was time for H to head home.  They also shared lots of hugs, because H is really sweet!

Broken Rules

Rule: No blowing bubbles in the house.

Sometimes you have to break the rules.  [But only when mommy says it's ok.]

Sunday Funday

We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday evening with our friends, the Manhoffs and Parkers.  Swimming, good food and lots of laughs!

Pizza Dinner

We went out for a pizza dinner and Em and I hung out on the patio for a bit, while J waited to get a to go box and pay.

She made lots of new friends and ate 2 pieces of pizza, plus some cheese and blueberries!

Good Morning

EC is in the best mood when we wake her up in the mornings [most of the time].  She absolutely loves playing in her crib- walking back and forth, holding her sleep sack over the railing, falling down, etc.  We try to get her out and she says- no.  It's such a fun time!

It's a big day for blogging.  A long post on the Easter egg and now a video!  Sorry about the eating in the video- it's literally the only time, she will sit still for the camera!

An Easter Egg

Em found this Easter egg (leftover from Easter) and it was the toy of the hour.

She would bring it over to Jeremy or me, while we put it back together and eagerly anticpate the completed egg.

Upon returning it to her, she would immediately seperate the two halves and try to put it back together.

Over and over and over again!
